Alex is an excellent golfer, with a well-rounded game featuring power, ball control, and excellent touch on and around the greens. With a driver swing speed of 112mph, he has the length to tackle long and challenging courses. Recognized for his ability to play well in poor weather (wind, rain, and cold), his strongest weapons are his “stinger” 2-iron and his ability to stay positive and shrug off on-course setbacks.
Alex was a “straight-A” student through middle school, and now carries a 4.2 GPA in his freshman year of high school at American Heritage School Boca/Delray. He earned the President’s Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence, and was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society in 2019.

In addition, his USGA handicap varies from 0.7 to 1.1, with all of his posted scores being in tournaments.
Alex also has experience playing overseas, having competed in the U.S. Kids European Championships four times in Scotland. There, he was exposed to both the best and the worst conditions that mother nature can produce, playing in cold, high winds, and pouring rain and sleet.
His tournaments are generally played from approximately 6,800 yards. His low competitive round in 2018 was 68, where he won his first Hurricane Junior Tour event on a course he had never seen. 2019 featured several under-par rounds, including a 67 in high school play. His career low competitive round is 63, when he won the Doral-Publix Junior Golf Championship. He won the 2017 South Florida PGA Challenge Tour Player of the Year award for his overall performance, winning his final 5 tournaments in a row. This string culminated with the Tour Championship, where he fired a 1-under par 70 in the final round, featuring a 4-under 32 to overcome a 5-stroke deficit on the final 9 holes.
Alex is a smart and compassionate young man who gives his time and energy to help others. In addition to finishing in the top 5 in the Pepsi Little People’s Tournament, he also was the youngest winner of their Spirit of Giving award for his charitable efforts. He won the SFPGA Birdie Club award two years in a row, raising a total of more than $12,000 for the SFPGA Charitable Foundation. He also helped raise money through golf donations to build two schools in Jamaica, and traveled there in 2018 and 2019 to assist with the finishing and grand opening ceremonies.
Alex played in the school band since 4th grade, playing both clarinet and saxophone. He played in his middle school jazz band, playing both drums and sax.
